Ascertainment of Metals

Our laboratories have long experience in data identification and are equipped with modern and innovative analytical instruments.

Analyzes are carried out in water, waste, food, sludge, sewage, water for artificial kidney units and in pharmaceutical concoctions for all the minerals of the periodic table, fully covering the requirements of the legislation (JM 2600/2001, Regulation 1881/2006) European Pharmaceutical Production.

Our equipment includes:

Microwave oven for sample digestion.

  • Flame photometer
  • Individual absorption of toner oven with ZEEMAN background correction (ZETAAS) and hydride system
  • Inductively coupled plasma spectrophotometer and mass spectrometer (ICP-MS).

Our laboratory is the only private nationwide laboratory equipped with ICP-MS.

Microbiological and Chemical Analyzes of Drilling Water

Additionally, it is possible to identify other elements in different types of samples.

The ascertainment of metals with ICP-MS is a relatively new analytical technique, which in relation to the classical methods (AAS, ICP-OES) offers the following advantages:

  1. Multi-element analysis for all elements of the periodic table (except halogens and gases)
  2. Extremely low limits of detection and quantification (in most metals, the limit of detection is from 2 to 50 ng / l)
  3. Higher resolution speed and better result accuracy.

The data identified by our Laboratory which is Accredited by ESYD, having the largest Accreditation Scope in Greece, are the following:

  • Lithium
  • Beryllium
  • Boron
  • Sodium
  • Magnesium
  • Aluminum
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium
  • Calcium
  • Titanium
  • Vanadium
  • Chromium
  • Manganese
  • Cobalt
  • Iron
  • Nickel
  • Copper

  • Selenium
  • Strontium
  • Molybdenum
  • Silver
  • Cadmium
  • Tin

In addition, it is possible to identify other items in different sample types
